Vishal, is a guide from Negombo who has been doing boat tours in his free time from a very young age. After completing his studies, he started to handle tours professionally. Sailing and fishing are his favorite hobbies, which keep him occupied with the ocean.
Nishantha Abeysekara
Nishantha Abeysekara, who is the brains behind the concept, will guide you through this unique experience. Nishantha’s journey began as a humble waiter at Tilly’s Beach Hotel after which he had stints at Triton Hotel and Taj Samudra as a management trainee. After a string of promotions in the Food and Beverage Department, he was appointed as the Manager of the hotel’s buzzing nightclub. After three years at Taj Samudra, he worked for a short period at Hotel Lanka Oberoi before honing his skills in the UAE and Bahrain at Hotel Khorfaken and the Holiday Inn respectively. He later returned to Sri Lanka to turn Star Club into one of the most successful and prestigious operations in Colombo.
Now, Nishantha is a restaurant owner and has taken the travel trade by storm with his Colombo by Jeep concept which allows clients to experience Colombo in style but to also enjoy driving through its streets in vintage jeeps.
Chathura
Chatura Gunawardana is one of Eco Team’s fishing guides in Bentota and has amassed over 14 years of experience in the field. Straight out of school, Chatura decided to turn his love for fishing into his occupation as he took up his role as a fishing guide at an early stage in his career.

Worked as Ministry of Transportation of Turkey, Directorate General of Civil Aviation Control/Examiner Pilot. He has trained many pilots. Became Honorary Consul General of Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka. Has 900 hours of flight experience with hot air balloons in 10+ years. Has been working for many years in ballooning and aviation as pilot, chief pilot, vice manager, member of board and general manager. Flown with many different brands and models. Certified Maintenance Technician of Lindstrand Balloons(UK) and Ultramagic Balloons(Spain). Licensed Radyotelephony (RT) user. Attended vocational trainings in the following areas: Communicate Procedures, Meteorology, Emergency Application, Bulk Gas Fire Education, Occupational Safety. Licensed scuba diver. First Aid Expert.
