Nimantha
Our skipper Nimantha is a skilled deep sea fisherman turned whale watching boat skipper. He has being going into the waters in Mirissa for the last 15 year and knows the ocean like his home’s backyard. He has a responsible approach towards the whales and he manoeuvres his boat with comfort and ease for his guests.
Devaka Dumindu Jayamanna
He was born in southern Colombo, near the Bolgoda Lake in his hometown of Moratuwa. He studied at the prestigious Prince of Wales College in Moratuwa throughout his school career where he developed a deep love for the vibrant nature that surrounded him.
He carried on with his academic work, acquiring an English Diploma from the Aquinas University College in Sri Lanka and a Diploma in Wildlife from the Open University of Sri Lanka. Furthermore, he has also completed the Wildlife Conservation course at the Wildlife Trust, amassing a deep knowledge to go with his enthusiasm for nature. Devaka, or someone in his calibre, who is available on the day you book the tour, will be leading this tour.
Felician
Felician has 34 years of experience in handling water-based activities in Negombo. Other than being an expert game fishing guide, he is a professional diver as well. He has been diving since the age of 16 and is a PADI Master Instructor. What this means to fishing enthusiast is that he knows every rock in the reef in the Negombo sea. He knows where and how to hook the big fish.
Chaminda
Chaminda began fishing as a hobby and considers himself to be fortunate enough to turn something he enjoys into a career. He has been fishing for 10 years in the Hikkaduwa waters. He hails from Galle, the southern capital of Sri Lanka.
