Catch the fish of a lifetime in adventurous waters: Negombo

You will be picked up and brought back from any city hotel in Negombo. If you are away from the Negombo municipality limits, we will pick you up from a pre-agreed place in Negombo. Alternatively you could come to the fishing harbour as well.

After the initial briefing, we get in to the waters with the first rays of sunlight.

Fishing is a sacred ritual for a sizeable portion of the world’s population; it is also a vital mainstay for villagers living along the island’s 1,340km coastal belt.

While for most, fishing is a necessity and a way of life; for enthusiasts, the lure of escaping the daily grind and catching their “fish of a lifetime” keeps anglers coming back again and again.

Negombo is considered one of the best locations to go professional game fishing and deep sea fishing on Sri Lanka’s western coast. The convenient distance from the international airport (15 km) makes it easy to add one of our fishing trips to the beginning or end of your holiday in Sri Lanka. The best season for fishing in Negombo is from April to November but fishing could be carried out throughout the year in convenience to the guest.

Sri Lanka is much admired for its multitude of sub-aquatic life. Its unspoiled sea and fishing zones hold an abundance of game fish for the keen angler. Close to the coast you can find Grouper, Snapper Emperor, Bonefish while a bit further out Indian Mackerel, Spanish Mackerel, Seer fish, Kingfish, Barracuda, Barramundi, Jackfish, Trevally, Tuna and far out Sailfish, Swordfish, Marlin and Shark.

Your boat will carry enough chilled water, beer and snacks for you to spend three hours in the water engaging in your favourite past time.
