Tour in Brief

Our guide will meet you at the agreed meeting point, and, after the initial briefing, we will start our cycling journey – Kandy City Cycling Trail.

Sri Lanka Day Tours half-day cycling tour is a perfect way to explore the beautiful city of Kandy, nestled in the mountains, to experience its culture and to learn about its fascinating history.

The tour will start from the very famous Temple of the Tooth Relic – Sri Dalada Maligawa – that dates back to the 16th century. Venerated as the most important object in the Buddhist world, the Sacred Relic of the Tooth of Buddha is enshrined at the temple.

After visiting the temple, the tour will continue around the Bogambara Lake before heading uphill to Rajapihilla Mawatha, a viewpoint overlooking the whole city.

The easy downhills will then lead you to the fish and vegetable markets, full of local life. This is the perfect place to discover the vast variety of ingredients the Sri Lankan delicacies are made of.

The next stop is the Kandy railway station – it is one of the most significant railway stations in the hill country.

From the station, you will head on to the final section of the Kandy City Cycling Tour that goes through the shopping areas where you can find all the Kandyan handicrafts – brass works, wood-carvings and fabrics.
